Hospitality for Golf Tournaments Worldwide

The game of golf offers you virtually twelve months of hospitality opportunities for entertaining your most valued clients. We are delighted to present a wide range of official VIP programmes for you and your guests to enjoy. We cover events from the four ‘majors’ and the World Golf Championship events to the best of the events on the European Tour and the USPGA Tour. In 2008 there is the added bonus of the Ryder Cup with Europe going head to head against the USA.

The 2008 Ryder Cup Matches

The 37th Ryder Cup Matches takes place in the USA in 2008. The matches will be played at Valhalla Golf Club, Louisville, Kentucky from 16th – 21st September. Team Europe will be captained by a golfing legend in Nick Faldo and he will be hoping his team can retain the Samuel Ryder trophy after their resounding 18 ½ to 9 ½ points win in Ireland two years ago. Paul Azinger will lead the USA team that will feature many of golf’s stars including Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson. This is a sensational event – one your guests will never forget.

The Majors

July 2008 sees a return for the Open Championship to the Royal Birkdale course in Southport. The last time it was staged there in 1998, Mark O’Meara became Open Champion. In 2009, the British Open moves to Scotland and the Ailsa course at Turnberry in Ayrshire.

In August 2008 the 90th USPGA Championship is held at Oakland Hills CC in Bloomfield Township, Michigan. This event sees the best of the world’s golfer playing for the magnificent Wannamaker Trophy. The following year the tournament returns to Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota.

The Masters Golf Tournament will again capture all fans imagination in April 2009 on the beautiful fairways and greens of the Augusta National Golf Club. This year’s green jacket was awarded to Trevor Immelman after leading from the first day.

On the 15th June 2009, the US Open returns to New York State where the Bethpage State Park complex awaits the world’s best.

World Golf Championships

The World Golf Championships are now firmly established events consisting on the Accenture Match Play Championship, the CA Championship and the Bridgestone Invitational. The third of these will be contested at the Firestone Country Club, Akron, Ohio at the end of July.

PGA European Tour

There are some outstanding tournaments every year in Europe. These include the events in the Middle East in March; namely the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship and the Dubai Desert Classic. In the UK we present the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth, the Celtic Manor Wales Open, the European Open at the London Golf Club, the Barclays Scottish Open at Loch Lomond, the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles, the Quinn Insurance British Masters at the Belfry and the World Match Play Championship at Wentworth. Many other great tournaments take place throughout Europe so there is sure to be one for all golf fans.

PGA Tour

Week after week there is enormous prize money on offer to the players on the US PGA Tour. We cover several of the best events including the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Florida, the Shell Houston Open, the Memorial Tournament in Ohio, and of course the Players Championship at the majestic TPC Sawgrass, Ponte Vedre, Florida.

Ladies European Tour

The flagship event on the LET is the Ricoh Women’s British Open. In 2008 the event takes place at the beautiful Sunningdale golf club in Surrey, England from 31st July to 3rd August. Star names from the golfing world will be coming to try and win this most prestigious tournament including world no. 1 and defending champion, Lorena Ochoa.
